      Kung Fu Noodle was established in 2019 with a mission to bring the authentic flavors and traditions of Chinese cuisine to the United States. Inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Lanzhou Beef Noodles, the founders aimed to create a dining experience that not only offers delicious food but also educates customers about the cultural significance behind each dish.

        The restaurant was founded by a couple who are passionate food enthusiasts. They had a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese cooking methods, especially the intricate art of hand-pulled noodles. They are originally from Lanzhou China, and immersed themselves in the local culinary practices growing up there.

Our Story
Historical Story of Lanzhou Beef Noodles

The history of Lanzhou Beef Noodles dates back to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (around 1785). It is said to have been created by a Hui Muslim named Ma Baozi (or Ma Wanfu). He improved the traditional noodle-making method, gradually forming the Lanzhou Beef Noodles we know today. Over centuries of inheritance and development, Lanzhou Beef Noodles have become not only a signature dish of Lanzhou but also an important representative of Chinese culinary culture.

 
Development of KFNNA

Kung Fu Noodle North America opened its first location in a vibrant community with a diverse population eager to explore new culinary experiences. The restaurant quickly gained a loyal following due to its commitment to authenticity and quality. The founders emphasized the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, ensuring that every bowl of noodles served was a true representation of Lanzhou’s culinary heritage.

Over the past six years, Kung Fu Noodles has consistently delivered exceptional dining experiences, earning widespread praise and devotion from our loyal customers. In 2024, we were proudly recognized on Yelp’s prestigious list of the "Top 100 Restaurants in America." To bring the authentic taste of Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles to even more people, we celebrated the grand opening of our second location in Columbus, Ohio, on May 18, 2024, continuing to share our rich culinary heritage with a growing audience.
